Miners working with a Davy Lamp

Our Story

The Davy Lamp Kelloe is a historic 1940s colliery pub that remains a proud pillar of the County Durham community.

Named after the vital safety lamp that allowed miners to work safely deep in the pits, we pride ourselves on being a sanctuary for the hard-working people of Kelloe. The heritage of the North East is built into our very walls.

" Unchanged, unhurried, and unapologetically local. "
